Disentangled is a personal website by Boudewijn Bosch. It grew out of my curiosity in applied mathematics, as well as my desire to make direct computational implementations more accessible. I’ll mainly focus on applying my two favorite topics: topology and geometry. On this site, I make a very strong distinction between theory and applications. In any discussion of theory, I incorporate appropriate computational tools that I will eventually use in applications.

The information on this site will be far from all-encompassing. For details, I will refer to appropriate sources for further reading. I assume knowledge from introductory courses in linear algebra, differential geometry, topology, and group theory.

Regarding applications, the ideas and methods I discuss are (very often) not my own, but rather derived from existing papers. I do attempt to make adjustments or conduct small experiments. I intend to get the reader up to speed with computational implementations as quickly as possible.

I keep AI usage for the textual content on this site to a minimum. I am not categorically against using AI, but since so many websites on the internet are already generated by AI, I prefer this site to remain more personal.
